Current YMHAC Initiative implementation sites that hold membership on RNAO’s YMHAC advisory committee will be eligible to apply for funds to support the facilitation and delivery of the YMHAC Initiative components.  Funds are intended to support local youth-led champion training and/or mental health promotion and substance use prevention activities.  Examples of activities that the funding could be used for may include, but are not limited to:

- youth-led health promotion activities (i.e. school wellness activities)

- creation of safe spaces in school environment

- school wide campaigns (i.e. stigma reduction, mental health/illness awareness, resiliency building)

- salary for public health or school staff

- ongoing operational support or overhead/administrative expenses

Available Funding:

Eligible Public Health Units may apply for up to a maximum of $10,000 to support sustainability and expansion of the local YMHAC Initiative.

Additional funds are available to public health units implementing the YMHAC (or similar) Initiative within French-language school boards. These funds, if awarded, must be used to assist with the implementation of activities within French-language boards.
